What this closes

A practical system that moves the decision into real work.

Read the Classification Decision Guide, file 8, first. The three tests it explains are what the workbook scores and what the agreements assume.

How to use it

Your first 30 minutes

Step 1 is the Classification Decision Guide, file 8; step 4 is the IC Agreement and SOW Templates, file 3.

  1. Read 1 - Classification Decision Guide first; it explains the three tests everything else is built on.

  2. Open 2 - Classification and Cost Workbook in Microsoft Excel or a free equivalent such as LibreOffice and work one engagement at a time. Answer the amber cells; the per-test reads and the overall risk read update as you go.

  3. Run your longest-standing contractor through the Classification Questionnaire, then price the same engagement both ways in the 1099 vs W-2 Cost Calculator.

  4. Open 3 - IC Agreement and SOW Templates in Microsoft Word once a genuine engagement is set up, and put the paperwork in order with your counsel’s review.

Before you buy

Clear answers to the practical questions.

The point of a product page is to let you judge the work before checkout.

What exactly do I receive?

5 PDF guides, 1 Word document, 1 Excel workbook, each one named in the What is inside section above. The purchase is a download, not a subscription, and the files are yours to keep.

Are these the real screenshots?

Yes. The preview images on this page are taken from the current deliverable, so you can judge the structure and writing before buying.

Can I use the files in my business?

The files are designed to be edited for your own internal operations. Review the included license and have legal counsel check decisions that require jurisdiction-specific advice.

What if I need help applying it?

Use the $149 Setup Session for one hour of implementation help on this tool. TrueStep HR does not offer broader consulting engagements. For a legal question, use qualified counsel.
