How to use it
Step 1 is the Field Guide, file 7. Work down from there, and by step 5 you use the Discipline and Termination Decision Kit.
Read the Field Guide first. It covers when to look into a concern, how to run a fair investigation, weighing the evidence, reaching findings, confidentiality, and representation.
When a concern comes in, open the Workbook and use the Intake and Triage screen to size up how urgent it is and what path it needs.
Plan the work on the Investigation Plan, then use the Interview Guide and Witness Statement as you talk to people, and log each one in the Interview Log.
Record what you found on the Findings tab and the Findings Report, using the preponderance standard: more likely than not.
Close the matter with the Outcome and Corrective Action Record and log it in the ER Case Log. Where a finding leads to discipline or an exit, use the Discipline and Termination Decision Kit.
